Welcome to the HR One Training-on-Demand for Preventing and Reporting Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. As part of the 2019 state budget process, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a law designed to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace as well as regulate how employers handle reported instances of harassment.
One of the key components of the law is that employers are required to train all of their employees on preventing sexual harassment in the workplace on an annual basis, and all new hires "as soon as possible."
This video and the questionnaire that follow are an important part of meeting the training requirements.
You must also review your organizations own internal sexual harassment prevention and reporting policies. Your employer is required to make these policies available to you. If you have questions regarding your employer's internal policies you must contact your employer's designated human resources representative or your immediate supervisor.
