Deb has over twenty years of experience as a consultant with HR One specializing in unemployment insurance for employers of all sizes and industries. Deb has extensive knowledge in New York State unemployment compliance and has represented over 300 employers in unemployment claims processing, hearings and appeals.
She advises clients with human resource expertise on issues of federal and state employment regulation compliance, complaint investigations, communications, corrective discipline, claims processing, hearing representation, government compliance and training for client’s staff on unemployment regulations and separation documentation.
Deb acts as a liaison between the client and New York State Department of Labor Unemployment Insurance Division regarding all claim issues. She advises clients of changes in the unemployment insurance regulations and makes the necessary recommendations to protect our clients’ best interests to ensure control, compliance, and reduced costs.
Deb is the Manager of HR One’s internal consulting team. Deb and her team process over 8,000 unemployment insurance claims and attend hundreds of unemployment hearings each year. Under Deb’s leadership, HR One saves clients thousands of dollars each year in unemployment insurance costs.
