Senior Human Resource Consultant
Amanda has extensive management and human resource experience working with employers of all sizes and industries. As a Senior Human Resource Consultant, Amanda’s responsibilities at HR One include advising clients on a variety of employee management and HR issues. Amanda acts as a liaison between the client and New York State Department of Labor Unemployment Insurance Division regarding all claim issues, processes unemployment claims, provides hearing representation, educates clients on government compliance, and trains supervisors on unemployment regulations and separation documentation. She has expertise with federal and state employment compliance, writes employee handbooks, job descriptions, and develops and conducts training programs in the areas of: Interviewing, sexual harassment, discrimination, performance management, corrective action/discipline, and effective supervisor communications skills.
Prior to joining HR One, Amanda completed a successful career with Wegmans Food Markets. She held the position of Service Team Leader with responsibilities in Human Resource Management. Her responsibilities included performance management, conflict resolution, recruiting, compliance and employee training and development.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University and received her Master of Business Administration degree from Le Moyne College with a concentration in Human Resource Management. She has completed coursework in HR Management, Labor Relations, Organizational Dynamics, and Strategic management. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
